Welcome to the Prism Portal
Somewhere in the last year, your kid stopped telling you everything.
Maybe it happened gradually. Maybe it was a specific Tuesday, and you can still picture what you were making for dinner when you realized the stories had gotten shorter. "Fine." "Nothing." "It was okay."
Or maybe the talking never stopped, but the conversations changed. More conflict. More misunderstandings. More moments where your child seemed just as confused by their own reactions as you were.
Whatever brought you here, we're glad you found us.
We're two behavior analysts with nearly four decades of combined experience helping families navigate the years that often feel the hardest to explain. We've had the privilege of walking alongside more than a thousand families, and if there's one thing we've learned, it's this:
Behavior always makes sense once you understand what's underneath it.
That's the idea behind The Prism Portal.
A prism doesn't create new light. It simply takes what's already there and reveals something you couldn't quite see before. That's what we hope this space becomes—not another parenting website full of rules or scripts, but a place that helps you understand your child, your family, and yourself a little more clearly.
Here you'll find conversations grounded in behavioral science and lived experience. A podcast that tackles the questions families ask after the school pickup line and before bedtime. Resources you can actually use. A community of people who understand that raising tweens and teens can be equal parts hilarious, exhausting, and deeply meaningful.
We're not here to convince you there's one right way to parent.
You know your child better than anyone else ever will.
Our job is simply to help you see what's happening beneath the behavior, so you can make decisions with more confidence and a little less second-guessing.
We're glad you're here.
